More spring time inside. My Amaryllis in bloom.
Delicate beauty.
Amazing detail
I am always amazed at the beauty in nature, how perfect in detail is God's hand.
Have a great day.

Sentimental Handbags
These are a few more hand bags that my Sweet Friend Kelly and I worked on together.
This red one is made from a vintage, velvet dress that belonged to a friends Mother. It was hand beaded at the top with a picot trim and then hand beaded fringe added on both sides of the bottom. Then lined with a beautiful black fabric. The next one was felted with a hand beaded spiral rope strap and beaded loop closure with one of my vintage mother or pearl buttons. Kelly lined it with vintage fabric from another dress. Kelly's friend is giving these bags as gifts to her daughter, sister and nieces. What a great way to share the love and memory of a family member through a piece of clothing remade into soemthing that can be held and enjoyed, rather that hanging in the back of a closet. Our hope is that these bags become another family heirloom.
If You want to see more of them you have to pop over and visit her blog here Fitzu she is an amazingly creative lady and great friend.

The Angel's Day
This is my Angel's birthday. She would have been 33 today. These photos were taken in August of 2001, when she was 25, by our friend Stewart who is a professional photographer.I am so thankful to have them.
This is one of Stews favorites, it was a long day and they were getting a bit silly, something happened and she burst out laughing and he took this picture, it stuck with him that it was such a genuine, joyful laugh - that we miss.
We lost Amy in October of that same year, the pain has eased but the feeling of loss is still great.
Happy Birthday Sweet Angel, we love you.

A good day
It hit 54 here today! Sat in the sun with a glass of wine - was a bit of heaven! We have had a ton of snow in Maine this winter with bouts of extreme cold so today was a huge treat. Back in the art room for a bit, reorganizing, cleaning out and jotting down 100 projects I want to take on, not to mention the list for the wedding.....
Here are more pics from the button collection.

Sweet Girl and her Prince
Sweet Girl and her Prince! Aren't they just the cutest? Their wedding day is coming up fast yesterday we did flowers - hours of picking out flowers and "helped" with the Tux pic for the guys. We have lists for lists and then more lists. I just keep thinking is will all be incredible! To see her in her gown was just amazing. I will post more as we start to create a Fairy Tale wedding.
